Company logo's, pictures for hobbies, engraving for clubs and societies
For as many years as I can remember, in conection with my day to day occupation of handmaking
jewellery, I have been repeatedly asked if I can engrave logo's and club or society emblems
Until recently, this work was only undertaken by either hand engravers, or by the use of a rotary cutter in a
traditional manual engraving machine, or computer operated engraving machine using water or cutters.
Time and technology have moved on, with the introduction of laser engraving, in the hands of an
experienced technition, these engravings can now be done in a fraction of the time, at a fraction of the cost,
especially when undertaken in bulk.
Mass production still plays a part where by, if fore instance you have many members in a club wanting the
same emblem engraved into identical objects, though setting up the first one might cost £95.00
subsiquent objects may be £35.00 less, and as much as 70% less for bulk orders of 15 or more.
Purely as a rough guide, an average emblem engraving into a gents signet ring by laser costs in the
region of £95.00 for just one, or as little as £30.00 each when ordering a batch of 30 identical products.
Please note I only engrave on my own products, please do not request sending me your own !
If your club or society requires an initial run of say 15 identical (except finger size) items but anticipate
ordering more at a later date, it may be practical to take a mould from the first (master pattern) ring and
then cast each ring, with the engraving integral, this may in some Circumstances reduce cost even further.
